- Description
- The 347th Contracting Squadron/MSCB is seeking sources to procure Television Programming Subscription Service. FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES: The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 4841. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 513210 and size standard $12.5 million. The procurement is unrestricted. Interested offerors must be CCR registered and provide capabilities and interests for the following description. Description of Service--Provide and maintain commercial and government television programming to over 337 separate locations on Moody AFB with ability to add more points of service as needs arise. Commercial programming will include 24-hour news and weather, sports, public broadcast, major network, foreign language and children?s channels broken down into a minimum of three tiers of service: (1) Government Administrative Basic (2) Government Billeting (Lodging) and (3) Government Public Viewing, to include the Hospital areas. Government programming will be provided by Moody AFB officials from a single point on base (one channel). As an option to the contract, the government is asking for the ability to rebroadcast television programming and Government Access Channels onto government LAN system for access by all Moody AFB network users. The government will provide adequate room to install contractor?s system, and will provide, install and maintain equipment needed to inject commercial and government programming onto government LAN. The government requires the contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to install and maintain the system. NOTES: 1. Residential television programming subscription service is not included in this solicitation. 2. The capability must exist to select channels at each television (e.g., a set-top box for each tv). 3. If satellite services are proposed, contractors must minimize the number and size of satellite dishes used and consider ascetics in their design. 4. The Government Access channels will not be required where there is no existing cable or fiber infrastructure. 5. This requirement includes a basic tier of service which will include all services required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission and any other federal law or regulation, public access channels, educational access channels, and governmental access channels, the retransmission of locally broadcast television signals and other appropriate services.
