Description
PEOSTRI is continuing to refine our approach for the acquisition of the Active Dynamic Spectral Projector (ADSP), which is part of the Contamination Avoidance Detector Test Suite (CADTS) Program. The ADSP system will (1) synthetically simulate the spectral signature of chemical/biological agents and simulants (with and without interferents), and then (2) dynamically stimulate the detector system under test (SUT). This system will be used in support of efforts to evaluate emerging Department of Defense (DoD) standoff detector systems, and the calibration and validation of range test equipment such as Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) systems. Draft versions of the System Requirements Document (SRD) and the Statement of Work (SOW) for the ADSP may be found at http://www.ntsc.navy.mil/EBusiness/BusOps/Acquisitions/Index.cfm?client=stricom&men=OPA. Once you access this URL, please go to the pull down bar under ?Document Types?, select ?All?, then click on Active Dynamic Spectral Projector. At this time, PEOSTRI is conducting market research to determine interested parties and to solicit any feedback/comments on the draft documents. Additionally, interested parties are requested to (1) identify potential technologies necessary to satisfy the requirements identified in the documents, (2) provide suggested teaming arrangements, (3) provide suggested contract type, and (4) provide a rough order of magnitude (ROM) for the effort. PEOSTRI intends to use the information provided for planning purposes only, to include the decision to use the STOC ID/IQ or such other strategy as appropriate.
