- DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha Division is soliciting bids for the procurement of Non Emergency Medical Care Vehicle Services for Basic Life Support (BLS) using an Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance EMT/A and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) using an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic services. All services to be performed by fully licensed, and accredited personnel. The contractor must be an established ambulance business, be financially responsible, and have the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish ambulance service as described in the solicitation. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The applicable NAICS is 621910. Size standard for small business is 6 million. The solicitation will be ready for download. Hard copies of the proposal will be provided upon written request only and can be submitted via email to william.clausen@med.va.gov. Telephone requests will not be accepted. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the web site before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available ONLY at the website. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments from the website. RFP 636-0001-04 SHOULD BE REFERENCED ON ALL PROPOSALS. The ambulances under the terms of this contract shall be licensed and meet the minimum requirements as mandated by the Rules and Regulations Governing ambulance Licensure and Ambulance Attendant Certification and Emergency Medical Services Law, adopted by the Board of Ambulance Advisors of the State of Nebraska and approved by the State Department of Health.
