Description

NA This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of firms interested in submitting a quotation for construction of a wheeled vehicle washing station with an access pit and an oil interceptor. This new construction work is an addition to an existing washing facility located at Manda Bay Naval Base, Port Lamu, Kenya. The work includes providing and installing a 25-millimeter water line with hydrant for the washing station and a 25-mm water line with hydrant to each of the existing washing bays. The r equest for quotation (RFQ) will contain three floor plans. The contractor is not required to provide the station's high-pressure washing equipment. The RFQ will contain an option for one additional washing station. The magnitude of this construction proje ct is between $25,000 and $100,000. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for this acquisition. A request for quotation (RFQ) will be issued. A purchase order will be awarded to the lowest priced and technically acceptable quoter. The evaluation criteria for determining technical acceptability will be provided in the RFQ. The tentative date for issuance of the RFQ is November 6, 2003. The tentative date for receipt of quotations is December 5, 2003. The tentative date to award the purchase orde r is December 15, 2003. Firms interested in receiving the request for quotation should fax a written request to Mr. Rick Elder at fax phone number 540-665-4033 or email the request. The request must reference the RFQ number and state the name of the com pany, email address, mailing and shipping addresses of the firm, telephone and fax numbers, and the name of person to receive the RFQ. All requests for the RFQ must be received no later than November 3, 2003.
