- Description
- Veterans Affairs Nursing Outcome Database (VANOD) Development and Support RE: NAIC Code 541611 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to the California Nursing Outcome Coalition (CalNOC). CalNOC has collected data on Nurse Sensitive Outcome measures in over 130 facilities in California. It provides site training, site support, data collection tools and analysis in reports. It also sends data on behalf of participating facilities to NDNQI. CalNOC will provide advice and assistance to the VA Nursing Outcome Database (VANOD) Operations team about key processes in developing a pilot database, which may be expanded to a national database. Consultation will be about ongoing training, site support, sample report generation, establishment and membership on an advisory committee and published data for comparison. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
