Description

Furnish and deliver an indefinite quantity of Sulfuric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide. Sulfuric Acid shall be 93% by weight; commercial grade; strength 66; percent equivalent H2S04=93.19%; specific gravity at 60F-1/8354; approximate freezing point -27C/-17F and the Sodium Hydroxide shall be - 50% by weight - 50% liquid caustic soda diaphragm grade. Estimated quantities of materials is approximately 600 wet tons of sulfuric acid and 500 wet tons or 256.5 dry tons of sodium hydroxide. Delivery shall be to the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Treatment Plant, 749 Highway 91 North, Leadville, Colorado. The term of this contract will be January 15, 2004 through January 14, 2005. The quantities stated are estimates and will be used for evaluation purposes only. Individual task orders will be issued against the contract and the Government will pay for actual quantities at the rates quoted by the Contractor. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be made available on or around November 12, 2003 and quotes are tentatively due by December 12, 2003. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 325188. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, pursuant to FAR Part 12 and Part 13.5. To receive a copy of this RFQ, contractors shall fax a request to the Bureau of Reclamation, Attention: Vaschelle LaForge at (406) 247-7798. The fax must include the contractor's name, address, phone/fax number, federal tax identification number and their Dunn and Bradstreet number. Vendors are required to register in CCR prior to the award of a contract.
