Description

THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO A PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT - Solicitation issue date is changed to, on or about, October 29, 2003. Solicitation will be available electronically after that time. To obtain a copy of the complete solicitation after it is posted go to the following website: www.procurement.irs.treas.gov. Should you have questions or encounter difficulty in accessing the solicitation once it is posted to the website, contact the IRS point of contact listed below. Please check the website frequently for amendments to the solicitation, as appropriate. A formal site visit will be scheduled - date to be specified in the solicitation. The proposal due date is changed to December 1, 2003. The resulting contract term will be from the contract start date, projected as April 1, 2004, through September 30, 2004 plus four 12-month renewal options. All other information remains the same. This is a competitive acquisition limited to companies certified under the Small Business Administration 8(a) Program. The Internal Revenue Service requires armed security guard service and canine explosive detection service at its Cincinnati IRS Campus, which consists of various locations in Covington and Florence, Kentucky. Contractor is required to provide necessary, labor, management,material, equipment, and training to staff fixed guard posts, perform roving patrols, monitor intrusion detection devices/operate security console, and perform canine explosive detection.
