The requirement is for 87.4%-87.9% Bulk Propellant Isopropyl Alcohol delivered on an FOB Destination basis in contractor-furnished bulk tanker trucks to NASA Johnson Space Center, White Sands Test Facility, Las Cruces, NM. The specification that applies is MIL-P-87931 dated 16 November 1977; the stock number is NSN 9135-00-150-8354. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be a two-year firm fixed price requirements-type basic contract with one (1) one year option. Option prices will be evaluated as part of the contract award decision. The total estimated quantity for the basic two-year period is 600,000 pounds. The option quantity is estimated at 320,000 pounds, for a total estimated quantity of 920,000 pounds for the basic contract and the one (1) one year option. The ordering period under the basic contract will start on 1 December 2003 and end 30 November 2005. If the Government exercises the option, the resultant contract?s ordering period will be extended to 30 November 2006.
