- This project consists of pre-commercial hand thinning and pruning of approximately 304 acres in 2004 and 316 acres in 2005. All acreage is located in the Rexford Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest, located in Northwestern Montana. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ADVERTISED WITH THE INTENT THAT QUOTERS CAN VISIT THE UNITS THIS FALL AND SUBMIT QUOTES BY JANUARY 15, 2004. Prospective contractors are encouraged to visit the areas prior to snowfall and prior to submitting quotes. A list and maps of the areas are available by contacting Ellery Steward at 406-296-2536.
