Description

Description: Reconstruct 7.3 miles of road. Work includes placing a crushed aggregate base of 4 inches from mp 0.00 to mp 2.27 m., placing a crushed aggregated base of 5 inches from mp 2.27 to mp 5.81 mi. and placing a crushed aggregate base of 18 inches from mp 5.81 to 7.30 then paving the full length double lane width with 3.5 inches of hot asphalt concrete. Other work may include constructing two concrete bridges at mp 4.52 and 4.71 at the Touchet River crossings, reconstructing and paving road 6400650 for 0.5 miles with 10 inches of crushed aggregate base and 3.5 inches of hot asphalt concrete, reconstructing the Touchet Corral Trailhead/Snowpark which includes widening, adding a crushed aggregate base and paving with 3.5 inches of hot asphalt concrete asphalt, and placing 10 inches of crushed aggregate base and 3.5 inches of hot asphalt concrete at the Ski Bluewood Parking lot. Project location: This project is located on the Walla Walla Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. Travel north from Walla Walla Washington on Highway 12 approximately 30 miles to Dayton Washington, then west on county road 9115 approximately 13 miles to the beginning of the project on FS road 64. Solicitation Issue Date: It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued between approximately 2/1/04 to 3/1/04. Contract time: Contract time is 450 days with a start work date of June 15th. Price Range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 Pre-bid/Pre-proposal Meeting: There will be no formal tours scheduled.
