- NA The 2nd Joint Conference on Point Detection for Chemical and Biological Defense is being organized by the CB Defense Science and Technology Program in cooperation with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and other CB Defense Agencie s. The objective of the conference is to bring together experts and practitioners for a review of the state-of-the-art science and technology of CB Point Detection and related technologies to serve as the basis for the generation of a comprehensive joint Department of Defense program strategy for the development of the next-generation CB Point Detection. The conference is unclassified and will consist of invited and contributed papers, as well as poster presentations. Attendees will include government (mi litary and civilian), academia and industry representatives. Abstracts are solicited on the following topics: CB Sample Collection and Sample Processing; Genetic Assays; Immunoassays; Mass Spectrometry; Ion Mobility Spectrometry; Optical Methods for CB D etection; Chemical Agent Detection; Bio Backgrounds; Test and Evaluation Methodology; Nanotechnology for CB Detection; Small Detectors; Improving Detector Performance; Optical Methods for Chemical Detection; Bioaerosol Triggers; New Concepts.
