- The U. S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to L-3 Communications, Narda Microwave-East, Hauppauge, New York, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1: only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the U. S. Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The RTTC has an urgent requirement for the acquisition of 10 S-Band Power Combiners-Part # 4313B-2; 10 C-Band Power Dividers-Part # 29686; 10 S-Band Power Dividers-Part # 29685; and 25 of 425 Mhz Power Dividers-Part #31204. These system components are to be built from an existing and proven drawing package. No other manufacturer can provide these systems without performing environmental qualification, which would require additional time as well as costs. This is not a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
