- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC-PC), Florida intends to solicit Murray-Benjamin Electric, 397 West Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902-6340 on a sole-source basis as the local distributor for General Cable for Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 1-16-3W, LCAC 7-20-2W, LCAC 7-20-28W, LCAC 14-20-24W, LCAC 2-20-2W, LCAC 14-20-3W and LCAC 7-20-4W cables. Textron Marine and Land Systems (TM&LS) developed a unique set of cable specifications (Critical Item Product Fabrication General Specification for Cable, Electrical, Lightweight, Fire Retardant, LCAC, specification number 7614-947301) for the particular requirements of the LCAC. The TM&LS set of cable specifications does not follow standard shipboard Military Specification conventions. These cables are high quality, lightweight, fire-retardant electrical cables specifically manufactured for the LCAC. General Cable can manufac ture the cables to the original specifications. There are no Military Specification, stock numbered, cables that are exact replacements for these cables. None of the Military Specification, stock numbered, cables that are suitable for other than temporary use in emergency situations. No other cable manufacturer has been identified that provides cable that meets the specifications. Murray-Benjamin Electric is the General Cable distributor for the NSWC-PC area. Cable will be delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. NAICS Code 335931 applies. SBA Size Standard is 500 employees. FSC is 6145.
