- Description
- Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound intends to procure on a sole source basis Arthoscopic Borescope Inspection Services in support of vessels at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The intended resulting award will be made to DRS Power Technology Inc (PTI) of Fitchburg, MA. The services must be completed by direction of NAVSEA, only companies that have the proven capability and equipment as authorized by NAVSEA to completed these critical inspections. PTI is the only source that NAVSEA has authorized. The period of performance is scheduled from 3 Feb 2004 through 9 Feb 2004. The service will also entail reports assessing damage, additional risks and repair recommendations. All offerors must be knowledgeable in the specific design parameters, margins and stresses in the turbine blades at the specific locations where damage is located. The unrestricted solicitation will be issued on or about 29 Oct 2003 with a closing date of 15 Nov 2003. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduce to 18 days from this announcement. When issued, the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) weblink www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website and to frequently monitor the sire for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requested for the RFP package will be accepted.The government reserves the right to award on initial offers as submitted.
