- Description
- Work will include tread reconstruction, brushing, limbing, construction of drain dips, installation of new and replacement belted waterbars. Installation of nail-lam structures, and construction of turnpikes through wet areas. Approximately 1,000 feet of trail relocation will occur with abandoned trail tread naturalization. The portion of Trail 385 to be reconstructed is approximately 2.5 miles and Trail 386 is approximately 1 mile long. From Grangeville Idaho travel south of Road 221 (Grangeville-Salmon Road) approximately 24 miles to the junction with Road 243. Travel west on Road 243 (Free Use Road) approximately .5 miles to the beginning of Trail 386 at the northeast corner of the rockpit. OPPORTUNITY FOR POTENTIAL BIDDERS TO REVIEW SITE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO WINTER SNOWFALL. EXPECT TO AWARD PRIOT TO SNOWMELT IN SPRING OF 2004.
