- Description
- The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a Localisa Electrical Localization System (Cardiac Navigation System) by Medtronic USA, Inc., Atlanta, GA. The Government believes that Medtronic, USA, Inc. is the only manufacturer that will satisfy the agency requirement. This is sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The Localize Cardiac Navigation System, when used with data from other devices, such as an RF power generator or and EP recording System, will allow the user to generate ablation data maps, cardiac electrical activation maps, cardiac electrical propagation maps, or cardiac electrical potential maps. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, CAVHS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medtronic.
