- FA8620-04-C-4005 Predator Full Rate Production This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Reconnaissance System Program Office (ASC/RAK) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., for the Predator MQ-1L program in January or February of 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract will include a quantity of 10 MQ-1L Block 10 aircraft, 7 Fixed Ground Control Stations (GCS), 1 Deployable GCS, 4 Launch and Recovery Ground Control Stations, 12 Ground Data Terminals, 10 Half-Racks, 8 new Support Equipment Kits, Block 20 GCS Initial spares, MQ-1L Block 10 Initial Spares, and 5 new Readiness Spares Package Kits. General Atomics ASI is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Predator system, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform these efforts. The government does not own the data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action, FA8620-04-C-4005, has a period of performance of appromimately18 months.
