- NSN: 2840-01-221-8303PR P/N: 1316M49G09 The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Noun: Air Seal. Item Description: This item is a complex assembly, containing many sub-components brazed and welded together. The turbine stator seals are used to contain the hot gases in the turbine section to prevent loss of energy. Material and Dimensions are as follows: The overall diameter is 24.115 in ? 24.125 in. The material consists of several high temperature alloys. Applicable to: F110 Engine Destination: FB2039 Delivery: November 2004 Estimated Qty: 8 Quantity Ranges will be solicited 4 ? 7 and 8 - 10. The quantity listed can change before award. Contractors should quote on all quantities listed. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 12 November 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 12 December 2003. The anticipated award date will be 22 December 2003. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation has been issued. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
