- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division intends to award multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts to support SUBSAFE work on US Naval submarines. The purpose of this contract is to provide manpower and services to support various SUBSAFE and Level I Material installation and repair work in accordance with the scope of work. The SUBSAFE work shall be performed during time of availability at various private and public shipyards, Naval Submarine and Operating Bases, and foreign shipyard and ports throughout the world. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with limited sources under authority of FAR 6.302. Only those firms that are approved in accordance with NAVSEAINST 4855.34 and cited in NAVSEA Notice 5000 are permitted to perform this work. The firms currently identified as qualified to perform SUBSAFE work are Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, CT; Oceaneering International, Inc., Chesapeake, VA; and Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, VA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 30 days after date of this publication. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
