- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport intends to solicit for welding services in support of the establishment of a J69 repair depot. Weld repairs may be required on the compressor housing and accessory case magnesium parts (base metal AZ92A and AMS 4434). In addition weld repairs on the turbine inlet nozzle fabricated from stainless steel AMS 5512 & 5537 and inconel AMS 5599 may be required. The vendor must be certified in welding the specified materials per AMS-STD-1595 or the industry equivalent. In addition, the vendor will be required to perform any necessary machining, dimensional inspection and non-destructive testing per technical manual T.O. 2J-J69-73 as applicable. This procurement will be conducted using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12. Award will be determined based upon best value analysis. Offerors outside the local commuting area will have the cost of shipping items to and from their location added to their evaluated price. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price labor hour indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract for a base and four one year option periods.
