Description

NA CONTACT Lyonnel W. Eugene, Elect. Engr, (732) 532-6698. This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for spares of the AN/TPX-46A(V) IFF Interrogator Set. The current source for these components is BAE SYSTEMS AEROSPACE INC., Cage 80249. Detailed t echnical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units are not available from the Army. Due to obsolescence in components and materials that has occurred over the life of this equipment, and also due to undocumented technical changes which have not been incorporated into the Government drawings. The Government can no longer warrant the adequacy of the Government owned drawings. Since no GFE is available from the Government, Suppliers must indicate their ability to demonstrate that the item operates properly in the End item AN/TPX-46. Suppliers capable of furnishing any of the items must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USACECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-CM, Building 1201E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable and has been demonstrated to operate properly in the AN/TPX-46. The items being procured are: 1) 10ea 5895-00-165-1183, 2) 15ea 5930-01-112-0157, 3) 5ea 5895-00-006-9745, 4) 50ea 5895-00-238-4660, 5) 2ea 5985-00-008-5002, 6) 5ea 5995-00-005-5215,7) 15ea 5895 -01-350-1797.Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
