- NA The proposed project is a Section 14 Emergency Stream Bank Stabilization Project on the Petite Saline Creek, upstream and downstream of the Bellair Bridge, in Cooper County, Missouri. Work will include stabilizing approximately 530 linear feet of the left stream bank and 80 linear feet of the right stream bank (approximately 610 linear feet total)using approximately 2020 tons of stone. Associated work includes clearing and grading temporary access routes, and the grading, excavation, and fill work needed to prepare bank slopes for the revetment. The contractor work and services includes but not limited to mobilization, demobilization, site utilities and facilities, all site survey work, clearing and grubbing, tree and brush removal, transport and unloadin g at disposal site, snagging, cutting, clearing drift and dead trees from river change as needed, all earthwork and associate earth hauling, construction of access lanes and ramps, site restoration and grading, tree planting, grass seeding and mulching, pr ovide 2020 ton graded stone MoDOT Type 2 Quarry Run Stone, testing and emplacement of such stone. The estimated construction cost is $100,000 to $250,000. A Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit is scheduled for 24 November 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Cooper County, M issouri/Bellair Bridge. Estimated time of completion of project is 90 days from Notice To Proceed. This solicitation will be web based and will be available on or about 17 November 2003. Registration will be required to download the solicitation and any amendments at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District website at http://www.nwk.usace .army.mil/contract/contract.html. Bids are due 9 December 2003. The successful bidder will perform, in accordance with the provisions of Clauses 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. A subcontracting plan is required with this submittal. This is a firm fixed price contract. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
