- SPSS Software: The United States General Accounting Office (GAO) intends to issue an order under other than full and open competition to SPSS, Inc., Federal Systems Division, 233 South Wacker Dr., 11th Floor, Chicago, IL 60606 for maintenance of GAO?s installed base of SPSS Network software. SPSS is the sole provider of these support services. The period of performance is December 1, 2003 through November 30, 2004, with options for 4 additional years. GAO?s installed base of SPSS software includes the following SPSS products and quantities: SPSS Base (50); Advanced Models (10); Regression Models (10); Trends (10); and Tables (10). The maintenance support to be acquired includes no-cost upgrades of software as released throughout the period of performance; new releases of media and operation manuals for major version upgrades; and toll-free and email priority technical and statistician support. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only once source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. POINT OF CONTACT: Lourie A.
