Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Revenue Center, Topeka, Kansas, anticipates expanding call center and mailroom operations in 2004. This expansion could entail printing from a local area network, sorting, folding, inserting, and mailing various single and multi-page letters, booklets, brochures, and pamphlets to Veterans throughout the United States and other countries. The ability to insert different brochures and other materials to accompany specific letters is desired. Some materials to accompany printed letters may also be printed as well as pre-loaded into a machine for sorting and inserting. Additionally, the HRC is interested in identifying various capabilities for addressing letters (e.g., printing labels or directly printing addresses on envelopes and/or stuffing window envelopes with proper name/address alignment). The initial anticipated volume is estimated at between 15,000 and 25,000 documents per month with future expansion capabilities of 50,000 documents per month. It is highly desired that any solution or equipment associated with this endeavor have the capability to interface with in-house computer programs using a SQL database. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought synopsis for interested parties to provide information related to their capabilities, potential equipment offered, and case studies or recommendations on similar projects that they have successfully accomplished.
