Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for vending operation services at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The contractor will be required to provide thirty-six (36) class 3 vending machine. Class 3 vending machines are located in the institution common areas for the primary use of the inmate population. This type of vending machine is located in the housing units, recreation areas, work areas, UNICOR factories, etc... Breakdown of vending items are as follow: beverage (12 machines); 10 cold foods, and 10 snack/over-the-counter medication). All vending machine shall be coinless and must be equipped with DEBITEK Model 3 System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 454210 (Size Standard: $6 million). Any resultant contract will have a performance period of a base year and four one year option periods. The anticipated contract is firm-fixed-price. To better understand the magnitude of the vending service required, a site visit will be held November 17 - 21, 2003 by appointment only. All appointments must be schedule by November 12, 2003 with Carol Morton, Operational Support Supervisor at (609) 723-1100 extension 160. A security clearance is required for each individual entering the institution. A government proposal to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about November 3, 2003, and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the market survey will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The response date for the market survey is November 12, 2003. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the market survey will be accepted.
