Description
NA Defense Contracting Command-Washington intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an unrestricted acquisition on behalf of the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI). The government anticipates one or more IDIQ co ntracts resulting from this solicitation from which Delivery Orders(DO) may be issued. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE CODE) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com or via phone at CCR (888)352-9333. The work to be performed under these indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts will provide ARI with the necessary support to conduct research and studies related to its re search plans and programs. The U.S. Army is facing significant training challenges that result from increased worldwide missions and the introduction of new warfighting and training technologies. ARI??????s program of research and studies will provide a mechanism to develop training and leader development methods that are responsive to current and future trends in equipment capabilities, manning practices, and doctrine across the spectrum of operations. Some of the types of research or studies and analys is that may be conducted by ARI include: 1.Research on individual Soldier skill acquisition and retention. 2.Research developing and evaluating innovative training strategies and methods for individuals, units, commanders and staffs. 3.Studies of Army training and leader development policies. 4.Development of exemplar training products. 5.Evaluation of embedded training concepts. 6.Development of performance measurement techniques for individuals and units. 7.Research on the features needed for effective use of simulation in training. 8.Development and evaluation of training concepts for new Army equipment. 9.De velopment of Leader Development theories and practices. 10. Studies of Army training and leader development policies and practices. Services have been provided under contract numbers DASW01-99-D-0012 with Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) and DASW01-99-D-0013 with Northrup Grumman. This requirement will include a base year and four option years.
