- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Hydroacoustsic Technology Inc., (HTI) 715 NE Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98105, to acquire a quantity of 500, Model 795m acoustic tags. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The tags must be compatible with the HTI Model 290 Acoustic Tag Tracking System presently in use. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies that will satisfy the agency requirements. Any firm that believes it can furnish the items described above are encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to comply with the above requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 7 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by FAX at (303) 445-6345, Attention: Evelyn M. Tate. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN.) Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard of 750 employees by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334511. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations shall apply: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5. The award shall be based on a firm-fixed price for the items described above. All firms must be registered in the Central Contractor's Register @ www.ccr.gov
