Description: The Naval Air Systems Command intends to release a competitive solicitation for up to one-hundred and fifty AN/AAQ-29 or equivalent form, fit, function Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) kits, each comprised of one Turreted FLIR Unit (TFU) and one Systems Electronics Unit (SEU) for use in the Helicopter Night Vision System (HNVS) on the CH-53E aircraft. Only hardware will be procured; no systems integration or installation work will be part of this procurement. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released in November 2003.
