Description
The indefinite extension for date of issuance set forth in the prior notice of 2/20/03 is hereby lifted. The anticipated date of issuance for subject solicitation is 11/20/03. Proposals are being sought from business entities interested in participating in the acquisition as a Prime Vendor for the roll out of the Facilities Maintenance Services Initiative. The goal is to have a multi-service, multiple award contract vehicle that would allow base facility managers to order non-personal services on an as-needed basis. This initiative will encompass services associated with facilities maintenance such as building repairs, roofing, paving, painting, plumbing, pipefitting, heating, fire alarms, air conditioning, locksmith services, elevator maintenance, electrical, glasswork, demolition and facility operations. This is a representative list and should not be considered all-inclusive of the types of services that may be needed. Subject solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis with the resultant contracts being firm-fixed price, indefinite-quantity type contracts. Offerors will be evaluated on other factors in addition to price in determining the best overall value to the Government. It is the Government?s intention to reserve at least one of the resultant contracts for a small business, provided that at least two responsible small business concerns submit competitive proposals. After the initial contracts are awarded, all services will be procured through the issuance of individual task orders, each one defined by a separate statement of work. Prospective contractors should be able to adequately support services that will range from a minimum of $10,000.00 to a maximum potential of $100 million annually. The performance period will be for five years, including a two-year base period with three one-year options. To obtain a copy of the solicitation, prospective offerors should access the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home , select Search RFPs from the left-hand sidebar, and then choose a search option for the RFP you wish to view. If you are not registered, follow the prompts and you will be instructed on how to get registered at time of download. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). In order to download and view these documents you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free at http://www.adobe.com. IMPORTANT: IT IS THE OFFEROR?S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED AND PAPER COPIES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. Please note the new point of contact in requesting any additional information.
