Description
NA Request for Information (RFI) Only. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is seeking comments from interested parties concerning a draft statement of work for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) efforts, to include LRIPS II and III, for the Guided Mult iple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions (DPICM) System. Anticipated hardware quantities for the LRIP II and III efforts are as follows: LRIP II- minimum quantity of 708 rockets, with a maximum quantity of 2,544 rocket s; and, LRIP III- minimum quantity of 858 rockets, with a maximum quantity of 3,474. The base GMLRS LRIP II effort is planned to include a quantity of 2 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Family of Munitions (MFOM) Common Test Stations (MCTS), with an op tion for 2 additional MCTSs in FY04. Integrated Logistics Support and Interim Contractor Support (ILS/ICS) services are to be included in the GMLRS LRIPs II and III efforts. The applicable NAICS Code is 336414, with a size standard of 500 employees. It is anticipated that any future acquisition for this effort will be conducted on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Dallas, since they are the designer, developer, and producer of the basic and Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Sytem (MLRS/GMLRS) and associated product improvements.
