Description
This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-04-Q-3FA252. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to perform the following for the USCGC WEDGE (WLR-75307): 1.Welding Repairs. 2. Clean Sewage Holding Tank. 3. Overhaul and Test Barge Boat Davit. 4. Install Deck Plating in Barge Holds. 5. Renew Deck Covering Systems. 6. Renew Sewage System. 7. Relocate Main Engines Air Intakes. 8. Travel and Per Diem. Performance period is March 8 to April 4, 2004. Place of performance: Vessel homepier, Demopolis, AL. The request for quote package and specifications to be available electronically on November 17, 2003. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and technically acceptable. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the RFQ due date. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price and Technically acceptable. The proposed solicitation listed here is a total small business set-aside (FAR 19.502-2). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
