Description
NA This work will consist of painting large industrial structures and hydraulic stationary and floating structures on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sites to include, but not limited to, the McClellan-Kerr Navigation System, dams, and powerhouses. These struct ures could include bridges, catwalks, sluice gates, floating bulkheads, tainter gates, and tainter gate superstructures and control equipment and stop logs. Work will require preparation of surfaces prior to painting to include welding, minor structural r epair work, general repair work on hydraulic structures, sandblasting, and compliance with all environmental laws and regulations. Work conditions may include staging from a barge in the navigation channel during full spectrum water flows. Site evacuatio n may be required with 24 hours notice. Contractor may be required to move equipment without assistance from the Corps of Engineers. The contractor shall maintain the capability to provide quick response for this work. Actual work requirements will vary from site to site. Task orders issued under this MATOC shall be issued for work assigned to the Southwestern Division, US Army Corps of Engineers. Estimated cost range of this project is not to exceed $15,000,000. Plans and specifications will be availa ble on/or about November 26, 2003, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
