Description

NA 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. To be considered small, for purpose of dredging, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The solicitation document will be a vailable on or about 18 November 2003. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The term size standard describes the numerical definition of a small business. In other words, a busin ess including its affiliates, which has been in business for three or more complete fiscal years with annual average gross revenue of $17.0 million or below meets the size standard and is considered Small Business. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration prior to award of this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The work consist of maintenance dredging of approximately 1,045,000 cubic yards of unclassified mate rial from Georgetown Harbor, Sampit River and Upper Winyah Bay, Georgetown County, South Carolina and shall be deposited in the Disposal Area. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Ac t. The estimated value of the proposed project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
