Description
GSA/FTS, Greater Southwest Region intends to issue a solicitation o/b November 24, 2003, for local dial tone services and related features on a month-to-month basis. The providers (local exchange carriers) shall provide the following capabilities: Analog Business Lines with minimum standard features, Analog Centrex Lines or Centrex type service with the minimum features, ISDN PRI that will provide the ability to use a common block or range of numbers, and other services the local exchange carrier normally provides to commercial customers. The government intends to secure multiple awards in the states of Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas. The contract name for the award(s) will be ?Local Services Acquisition(s) (LSA).? The state name, i.e. Texas, will precede Local Services Acquisition to give identity to the contracts for each state. Statewide services sought under this solicitation will be similar to services currently being provided SBC and other carriers within the states. Services are required at locations throughout each state that are not currently served by formal contracts with the exception of the Aggregated System Procurements (ASPs). The ASP will expire next year. Minimum capabilities are analog business lines, analog Centrex type service, and the ability to interface to the Federal Technology Service FTS2001 and/or subsequent contract(s) awarded as a replacement. A separate broadband contract in Texas will be reserved for a provider that qualifies as a ?Small Business.? Interested parties must respond by 2:00 p.m. on October 31, 2003. Respondents are requested to provide a capability statement to include current services they provide and the number of customers. Respondents are also requested to provide their number of employees and business category for federal procurements. Financial statements may be provided to substitute for the requested information.
