Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for Electrical Equipment Maintenance & Repairs. This acquisition is for the NOAA Ship Gordon Gunter, a 224 foot, 43 ft beam (molded); propulsion ? diesel electric twin screw, 4 ea. MDG?s Caterpillar D398B diesel engine driven 600 kW, 600 volt, 60 Hz. AC generators, and 2 ea. 800 HP @ 185 RPM direct-connected DC motors, and 1 ea. 550 HP Bow Thruster motor @ 1200 RPM; 450 VAC, 60 Hz, 3 phase, 800 Amp Service; crew size - 19. Vessel's homeport is Pascagoula, MS. All work will be performed at vessel?s home port. The performance period shall begin on or about December 4, 2003 and shall be completed on or before January 5, 2004. Basic items include but are not limited to main propulsion and ship service switchgear maintenance, 600VAC: 450VAC Transformer maintenance, and 60hz motor-generator set maintenance. All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications to be provided with the RFQ. Vessel will be available for inspection November 17 - 18, 2003 at Gulf Marine Support Facility Pascagoula, MS. Arrangements for inspections may be made by contacting the Port Engineer at 228-769-1155. This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ; set aside 100% for small businesses and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and obtain (and provide on the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505.
