Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Advanced Resource Management (Mr. Richard Smith) for consulting services. Mr. Smith was awarded a previous contract for the initial research and interpretive writing for exhibit elements at the Hoover Dam Visitor Center. This purchase order will be a continuation to complete the research and writing for the 14 interpretive signs for the Hoover Dam Visitor Center. In 2002, an Interpretive Master Plan for Hoover Dam Visitor Center and Grounds was developed. Mr. Smith was part of the planning team that created the Master Plan. He completed the research and writing for the first 12 signs to be placed on the observation deck and interior rotunda of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center. His intimate and superior knowledge of this project make him particularly well suited for this project since he has already completed initial research and writing about the topics to be included in the remainder of the interpretive media for this site. It is considered to be in the best interest of the Government to make this award to Mr. Smith's company, ARM, to complete this project.
