Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation no. FA4861-04-Q-B004, Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16. This acquisition is issued unrestricted, open to both large and small businesses. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 532120. The size standard for a small business under this NAICS code is one that is equal to or less than 21.5 million annually based on the offeror?s average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years. The contractor shall provide: the lease of one (1) NEW, twenty three (23) passenger bus that is an E-450 Ford Commercial Cutaway Dual Rear Wheels, Engine: Ford Powerstroke Diesel 7.3l or equal. Additional options include service manuals and heavy duty air-conditioning. A list of required items are attached to this notice. Offerors that submit an equal model bus must provide descriptive literature identifying that performance requirements are equivalent. Buses shall be used approximately 20,000 miles annually. The color of the bus shall be strata-blue or white. Contractor shall be responsible for periodic maintenance. The lease period shall be for a one-year period. Delivery of the bus must be on or before December 1st, 2003. Quotes are due on or before 4:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time on November 17th, 2003. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is also applicable. Price will be the only factor used to evaluate offers. FAR provision 52.212-3 Alt I, Offeror Representations and Certifications applies to this acquisition and must be completed and returned with an offeror s quote. A copy of FAR 52.212-3 Alt I is attached to this notice at the FedBizOps website at www.eps.gov.
