Description

This is a Modification to 07 May 2003 Synopsis which increase the FY-04 requirement for the EA-6B Aircraft due to grounding issues. Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price Contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) to perform maintenance, modification, and repair to a maximum of thirteen (13) EA-6B aircraft. Due to a grounding issue, all thirteen aircraft will be parked at NGSC until induction can be accomplished. Work to be accomplished will consist of Planned Maintenance Interval One (PMI1), concurrent with AFC 789 (Block 89 A Modification) and the replacement of Wing Center Sections (WCS) to the aircraft in accordance with specifications outlined in the Integrated Maintenance Concept (IMC) based system and the accompanied Statement of Work. The scope of work to be accomplished to the aircraft will be of the following two types: PMI1 with concurrent installation of WCS and/or 89A Modification, seven (7) aircraft, and Installation of WCS, six (6) aircraft. Work is expected to begin on the first inducted aircraft on 1 November 2003 with the scheduled date for completion of the last inducted aircraft by 15 May 2005. All identified work will be accomplished at Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation facility in St. Augustine, FL. Numbered Notes 22, NAVAIR Synopsis No. 20002-04.!!
