Description

NA Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, New York intends to enter into a sole source contract, base plus three option years, with Jeol USA Inc., 11 Dearborn Road, Peabody, MA. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance wi th the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation W911PT- SEM is issued as a sole source Request for Quote in accordance with FAR 6.302. This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures specified in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Solicitation documents and incor porated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 2001-16. The standard industrial code is 7699 (NAICS code 811219) and the business size standard is $6,000,000 per year. The following clauses and provisions are applicable to th is acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerers-Commercial, 52.212-3, Offerer Representations and Certifications-Commercial items(returned with your offer), 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Condition s Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (October 2003). Work to be accomplished includes the following: CLIN 1: To cover the cost of all parts, labor, and materials to provide full maintenance service for JSM-840A Scanning Electron Microscope with LGS/BEI 130048-103, FIS40 Frame Store, LBG Lanthanum Hex Detector, PCD Probe Current Detector, R050 Water Chill er for the base period 1 January 2004 through 31 December 2004. Full maintenance service is defined as 2 semiannual visits and emergency visits with 24 hour call back and 72 hour response time. Semi-annual payments in arrears are authorized. CLIN 2: Sam e as CLIN 1 to cover the 1st option period, 1 January 2005 through 31 December 2005. CLIN 3: Same as CLIN 1 to cover the 2nd option period, 1 January 2006 through 31 December 2006. CLIN 4: Same as CLIN 1 to cover the 3rd option period, 1 January 2007 thr ough 31 December 2007.
