Description

NA here is a summary: This project will construct a new stormwater sewer system in the Eighth Addition Subdivision in the City of Ishpeming, Marquette County, Michigan. Most of the combined sewers in the City of Ishpeming were separated in the 1970s and 1980s. Sewers in the Eighth Addition Subdivision, which comprises about 15 percent of the city??????s area, were not separated because of funding limitations. The proposed action is to construct a new storm sewer system, leaving the existing sewer system to handle sanitary se wage only. The proposed storm sewer would drain southward into an unnamed tributary of Carp Creek, which is currently used for storm water discharge by the City of Ishpeming, and northward into lowlands associated with Teal Lake. This would preclude ove rflows of untreated water into neighboring waterways.
