Description
The Government intends to procure the following items under a Firm Fixed Price contract for the supply of one (1) 15ft dump body replacement for an International truck body, one (1) hitch and plow to accommodate a 15ft dump body, one (1) 12ft dump body replacement for a GMC truck body, one (1) western heavy weight plow 10 flow to accommodate a 12ft dump body, and four (4) 15ft dump body replacement for a Mack truck body. The dump truck beds and accessories will be delivered 30 days after award of contract. Delivery will be FOB destination. The proposed requirement will be awarded under a Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 13 November 2003 by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This is a small business set-aside; the applicable NAICS Code is 336211. The size standard is no more than 1000 employees. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above sites; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. After receipt of the initial quotes and establishment of the competitive range, the Contracting Officer intends to conduct a competitive, anonymous, on-line reverse auction as described in the RFQ. Submission of a quote, in response to the RFQ, will be considered as consent that the offeror will participate in the auction and that the offeror?s price can be revealed during the reverse auction. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerrors at anytime prior to award. The prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.h the offerrors at anytime prior to award.
