Description: NA This requirement is sole source to Micro Systems, Incorporated, 35 Hill Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, FL, 32548 for a basic (2,080 hours) and four years of options (a total of 161,000 hours) for System Engineering Services in support of the Model 8770 Target Tracking Control System (TTCS), the target interface control units (TICU) and other associated ancillary equipment. These engineering services are required to support continuing system operations, modifications, and improvements to meet target mission req uirements. Only Micro Systems, Inc. has the technical knowledge and documentation required to provide continuing engineering services for the current configuration of the Model 8770 TTCS. Micro Systems is also currently upgrading the TTCS to operate with a UHF data link to eliminate the need for a radar and designing a Common Avionics Package to incorporate control unit functions with inertial reference devices, the autopilot, the DoD mandated Common Digital Architecture interface to the target, and a Glo bal Positioning (GPS) receiver. No other company has the knowledge of these modifications to be able to complete the upgrades and provide detailed engineering support for the modified TTCS and TICUs when upgraded.
