Description
This synopsis is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Professional Engineering Services. These services are to provide recurring training support for Project Beartrap aircraft and lab systems, operator machine interface support, field acquisition test data support and forward site depot level support. These services include providing Beartrap Wing Mission Specialist functions, performing recurring crew training, assisting in evaluation of crew performance in Weapon System Trainers (WSTs) and providing constructive feed back on tactical and crew coordination performance. These services provide WSTs and ORION Debriefs, serving as systems analyst utilizing Project unique hardware sets. These services also provide Forward Site Depot level support that interface directly with fleet avionics technicians. This support includes the training of fleet personnel on all project unique hardware sets utilized on aircraft and lab assets. The forward sited depot level support also includes troubleshooting and repairing of failed components to the (Weapons Replaceable Assembly) WRA level and are responsible for the calibration/certification of fleet assets modified for Beartrap specific missions. These positions require a SECRET CLEARANCE. Per Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 8.4, responses are sought only from General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule holders under SIN 871-3, System Design, Engineering and Integration. Requests received from non-schedule holders will not be considered. The period of performance shall be one base year commencing 31 December 2003 through 30 December 2004 and two option years. The site support services are to be performed at the following Beartrap Support Sites (BSSs): NAS Brunswick, ME; NAS Whidbey Island, WA; MCBH Hawaii, and NAWCAD Patuxent River, MD. Interested parties under SIN 871-3 may obtain a copy of the Statement of Work and quotation instructions by sending an electronic mail (email) to Mr. Randolph Serman, Code 251731, Contract Specialist, at Randolph.serman@navy.mil . Requestors must include a point of contact, an email address, a facsimile (fax) number, and provide their GSA Schedule number. All responsible GSA Schedule holders under SIN 871-3 may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. The RFQ will establish the dates quotes will be due.
