Contracting Office Address: Executive Office for United States Attorney's, 600 E Street NW, Suite 2400, Washington, DC 20530 Request for Information The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking contractors with expertise in conducting Business Process Analysis and developing Concepts of Operation. All GSA Schedule 874.1 (Management, Organization, and Business Improvement Services) contractors that have expertise in analyses of business processes and proposing automation solutions are encouraged to respond to this RFI. Respondents should reference RFI number 4Q-EOUSA-0009, and include the company name, GSA Schedule Number, fax number and the name, telephone number and e-mail address of a point of contact. Respondents are also encouraged to comment on the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Department of Justice litigating components are interested in learning what additional information should be provided in the SOW, what changes are recommended, and any other modifications that respondents believe would encourage more responses to a RFQ, and improve the quality of the submitted quotes. Note: please try and limit your response to no more than 15 pages. Submit responses to Mr. William A. Mr. Ervin Spivey, Ph: (202) 616-6434, FAX: SAME Background Information The Department of Justice seeks to improve the current electronic exchange of information with the United States Courts through an analysis of the current business processes related to litigation filing. The Department of Justice exchanges high volumes of information with the United States Courts in the process of conducting litigation. Some of this information is currently exchanged electronically, using electronic case filing systems offered by the Courts. These systems change the business procedures and workflows for the fundamental business processes of creating, filing, receiving, accessing and managing litigation documents, resulting in an increased burden on Department of Justice personnel. The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) is tasked with developing an improved electronic case filing solution for the Department of Justice. In collaboration with other Department of Justice components that conduct litigation, EOUSA intends to develop a Concept of Operations for the Department of Justice Electronic Case Filing System (ECFS). Note: After receipt and review of the information obtained through this RFI, EOUSA intends to establish a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to document and analyze the current litigation filing business processes and develop a Concept of Operations for an information system to automate those business processes. EOUSA does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information provided in response to this RFI.
