Description
The Employee Education System (EES) intends to negotiate with The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, 404 S. Figuerora Street, Los Angeles California 90071, on a sole source basis for the acquisition of meeting rooms, refreshments, etc. for the National Logistics Managers Symposium Conference to be held on March 15-19, 2004. Due to extensive market research EES has determined the Los Angeles downtown area is preferred as the conference site location. An estimated 450 individuals will be attending the National Logistics Managers Symposium Conference. EES will require approximately 450 sleeping rooms for the period March 15-19, 2004, at the prevailing Government rate. A general session room (113? x 122? square foot minimum, 18? ceiling height minimum) accommodating approximately 500 individuals and 6 breakout rooms (1,200? square foot minimum) holding approximately 75 people each will also be required. An exhibit area for approximately 30 (8x10) exhibit booths (182? x 138? square foot minimum, 13? ceiling height minimum) is required. All meeting space will be on 24-hr basis. Light refreshments for morning and afternoon breaks will be required. The dates of the National Logistics Managers Symposium Conference are restricted to March 15-19, 2004 in order to accommodate the Logistics Managers Symposium CEO?s schedule. EES has researched numerous hotels in the Los Angeles downtown area based on the requirements specified above. No other source is known to EES that is capable of supplying the required sleeping rooms and meeting space for the given timeframe. Any source submitting a written response to this synopsis shall include sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement and must be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act (provide FEMA number) and the Americans with Disabilities Act. NO DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE. Any written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation relating to this announcement will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by EES not to compete this requirement based on any responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of EES. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Lila Meinhardt at 314-894-5791.
