Description

The Foreign Service Institute, Department of State, intends to award a sole source contract to The Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine at the George Washington University. This contract funds a pilot program of emergency trauma medical training that will teach Government employees (these individuals will be working at State Department embassies, etc. overseas) how to react should they find themselves in an unexpected crisis situation until medical help arrives. It will involve small group "hands on" exercises. We anticipate twelve offerings of a two day course (each course will accommodate 20 people) with the first class on December 1, 2003. We anticipate the contract to total $168,000. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available.
