- Description
- The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is seeking information in the form of capability statements from interested small businesses (NAICS code 541710, small business size standard is 500). Organizations must possess the capability to develop analytical methods, carry out quality control tests, prepare dosage forms and perform stability studies for the compounds (bulk drug substances) and dosage forms used in the medications development program. Interested organizations must demonstrate, in any capability statements submitted extensive experience with the ability to perform the above tasks and especially to demonstrate capability to administer and coordinate these interrelated tasks in an effective and timely manner and on an international level. To handle test substances under the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, offerors must possess a DEA Registration for Schedules II to V. NIDA may also require a Schedule I DEA research registration. Information sent should be relevant and specific in the technical area under consideration, on each of the following qualifications: (1) Experience: An outline of previous projects, specific GLP work performed and any in-house research and development effort, (2) Personnel: Name, professional qualifications and specific experience of scientists and technical personnel who may be assigned as principal investigator and/or project director; (3) Facilities: Availability and description of special facilities required to perform the work. Any other specific and relevant information about this particular area of procurement that would improve our consideration and evaluation of the information presented is desirable. All offerors are encouraged to submit information documenting its capability and/or experience in performing the kind of work described in this notice. Such documentation may include, but not be limited to, contracts both Government and commercial the offeror has performed, references, i.e., names, titles, telephone numbers and any other information which serves to document the offeror?s capability, e.g. awards, commendations, etc. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This is not a Request for Proposals. This notice is for information purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. Interested organizations submitting a capability in responses to this sources sought announcement are required to identify its size status.
