Description
NA A. Acquisition description: This acquisition addresses the Multi-band Integrated SATCOM Terminals (MIST) program pre-System Development and Demonstration Phase (Pre-SDD) and System Development and Demonstration SDD. Two (2) or more pre-SDD efforts shall be awarded to execute concurre ntly. The eighteen (18) month Pre-SDD is focused on the development of terminal architectures, integration concepts and technical risk reduction to satisfy the requirements for satellite and line of sight communications capabilities. During pre-SDD, study contractors will develop notional terminal architectures, system interface definitions, and assess technical performance risks, with the goal of maximizing commonality across all platforms MIST shall support. The SDD phase will be a full and open competition. The selected contractor for SDD shall produce a modular MIST terminal design. The MIST is envisioned to be a Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) / Software Communications Architecture (SCA) compliant fami ly of modular, reconfigurable communications platforms which addresses multiple communications needs. MIST shall be hosted within a variety of platforms in the future force structure of the Army and Marine Corps. MIST shall support capability growth, tec hnology insertion and product improvements over time. B. Industry Day announcement: The Project Manager, Warfighter Information Network - Tactical cordially invites you to the initial Industry Day for the Multi-Band Integrated SATCOM Terminal (MIST) program. Industry Day shall be held at Gibbs Hall, Fort Monmouth New Jersey on 11 Dec 200 3. Sign-in shall begin at 0800. The morning session shall consist of a presentation to industry on the program followed by a question and answer session. The morning session will provide industry with information related to the program objectives, acquis ition, technical approach and pre-SDD activities. Requests for one on one discussion shall be made through the point of contact above. Registration is required via Email by close of business on the 8th of December for attendance to Industry Day and for o ne-on-one discussions. Four slots are available for the afternoon of the 11th. Other discussions shall be scheduled for the morning of the 12th or by appointment. Due to space limitations we request that no more than four representatives attend from each interested company. Agenda is as follows: 0800 - Sign in 0845 - Administrative remarks 0900 - MIST overview Program objectives Acquisition overview Pre-SDD studies 1100 - Break 1130 - Question and Answers 1200 - Adjourn 1300 - 1700 PM: Discussions. One-on-one discussions are limited to 1 Hour each. We will remain in Gibbs Hall for the discussion sessions on the 11th. Discussion on the 12th shall be held at the Wain conference room, Bldg 909, Ft. Monmouth NJ.
