Description
NA W56HZV-SANG-LAV-STS-001 Saudi Arabian National Guard - Light Armored Vehicle System Technical Support services. The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends on awarding a contract for approximately 10,000 hours of STS services over a 5 year period to General Dynamics Land Systems ?????? Canada (GDLS-C). The effort will be the development and preparation of engineering change proposals (ECPs) against variants of the LAV owned and operated by the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG). No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. The STS services to be procured are in support of the SANG fleet of Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs). The contract will call for the development and submission of engineering change proposals (ECPs) on an as-required basis through the life of the contract. Typical STS activities could include field-dictated re-design, system integration, analysis and recommendation of solutions to human factors issues; and to handle issues relating to reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety engineering. A giv en requirement for an ECP would start with recommendations to research configuration and systems problems on SANG LAV configuration issues as they arise, and result in recommended solutions through development of ECPs. Recommendations for proposed ECPs wo uld come from the FMS customer, the Program Manager??????s Office at TACOM, or the vehicle manufacturer. The contract will be for an initial 2,500 hours (over 2 years), plus three one-year options for 2,500 hours each, for a total of 10,000 hours. The co ntract will require full access to the manufacturer's technical data package (TDP) for each variant of the LAV. The USG does not own the rights to the technical data and cannot provide the data. The data is controlled exclusively by GDLS-C. Individuals seeking information concerning this notice should contact Mr. Hal Porter, AMSTA-PM-LAV-B, telephone (586) 574-8793, or email porterh@tacom.army.mil.
