- The U.S. Geological Survey, Eastern Region, National Mapping Program, Reston, Va intends to award a non-competitive purchase order via request for written quotation (it is coded "04ERQQ0014 No Solicitation" for the purposes of this announcement) to PCI Geomatica Corp., for software support and upgrade service for the period from 10/01/2003 through 09/30/2004. This service is needed to continue the Topography and Remote Sensor Program. The proposed contractor has proprietary rights to all software, having developed the system and not sub-licensing any other organization to modify or resell the product. NOTICE FOR THE SOFTWARE & MAINTENANCE SERVICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested vendors may identify their capability to respond, and all responsible sources may submit a quotation within five days after the publication of this announcement, which will be considered by the Government. Interested vendors may identify their capabilities to respond to mlucas@usgs.gov or fax to (703) 648-7367, attn: m. Lucas. The anticipated award date is December 4, 2003. NAISC is 541990. A determination not to continue with this acquisition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. No additional synopsis will be published.
